Who would have thought a pot of tea could do wonders for wooden floors?! If you’re looking for an eco-friendly way to clean floors, put the kettle on. A black tea solution can be used to clean wooden floors naturally.
The tannic acid in the tea helps to remove surface scratches in wooden floors. To give this a try, follow these steps below:
- Add two tea bags to a litre of boiled water.
- Allow the tea to cool to room temperature after which you can remove the tea bags.
- Dip a soft cloth in the tea and wipe down the floors.
- If required, give the dry floors a buff with a little olive oil of a homemade eco-friendly furniture polish.
Happy green cleaning!
